Spurred by a viewer's question about gas prices, Michael Moore talks about the breadth of the problem of peak oil: petroleum is not just a fuel, but a feedstock for most of the material bases for our life.


Transport and Energy Generation are a Serious Problem

I agree with most of what he's saying in this interview especially the facts that petroleum derived products don't have subsitutes I've got 2 remarks though: - Experts have been warning us seriously for far longer than 8 years! (see King Hubbert, Meadows, Catton) - Although he's right on the fact that transport and electricity oil have alternatives to oil, it will take so much energy, resources and time to do a global switch to new fuel sources and particularly to reform entirely our economies and industries that if oil is peaking now then, we actually lacking oil and time to implement the changes.
